Cobblers Eddy is a fictional farm community located simultaneously in two states, Indiana and Pennsylvania. In the book, Cobblers Eddy is in rural Indiana, but in the mind and imagination of the author, it was the real farm in Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania where he spent his childhood summers.

There is, however, only one New York City. So what follows are sample scenes from the real farm and from the streets of Manhattan as they looked when those three Cobblers Eddy teens finally arrived.
